Judgment sales by the publisher SEGA amounted to almost $1 million in the first month of release on Steam
The new adventure detective game Judgment from Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio was released on Steam on September 14, 2022. SEGA took over the publishing duties.
The chilling thriller Judgment tells the story of a private detective, the intricate and bloody crimes he has to solve, and the truth behind a series of gruesome murders. This story is also filled with action sequences, because, as it turns out, the path to the truth is really hard.
According to GameSensor's estimations, Judgment sales amounted to about $1 million during the first month of its release date on Steam. As for the number of Judgment copies sold, almost 50 thousand users purchased the game on the platform during the same period.
Judgment has received mostly positive reviews and a 7.6 out of 10 player score on Metacritic. Critics on the same site gave the game 84 points out of 100. And its rating on the Steam platform is almost 5 stars out of 5.
If we compare the new product with the developer's previous game on Steam, Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania, then during the first month of release, Judgment revenue is almost twice as high as Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania sales for the same period. The volume of Judgment copies sold is as much as twice that of the previous game by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio.
In addition to PC, the new game is also available on Sony PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 consoles, as well as Xbox Series.
About 60% of players who purchased Judgment on Steam speak English. 20% of the audience speaks Chinese. The game also supports Korean, Spanish, Japanese, and other languages.
